In my experience, companies that outsource eventually become dissatisfied with SLA’s as a means of managing the outsourcer. Balanced scorecard proves more effective than simple SLA’s primarily because the outsourcing company can drive behavior with BSC and, eventually, receive the desired service behaviors from the outsourcer.

yes company can gain benefits from outsourcing, if the process of choosing outsource vendor is valid and correct. Especially in term of maintainability..

This is interesting and quite practical to provide building information models in such a way that simplify the work of construction. especially if you include feedback analysis of the model (wether it save, feasible, and so on) to help managers decide.

I agree on the benefit on outsourcing. Furthermore there ar also risks that user company wants to share with provider company. There is also consequence that the personnels in both company have to endure when outsourcing some function, like development, conflict of interest etc. Do you think?

One of the challenge in outsourcing ERP system is its maintenance, especially when the outsource vendor is terminated, gone, mismanaged -in short no longer available for the user. User need to make sure its long run ERP maintenance at the very beginning.

Mungkin perlu ada model interaksi dan komunikasi antara user dan vendor pada setiap fase mulai dari desain, trial, sampai implementasi dan maintenance untuk memastikan keberhasilan outsourcing IT. Bisa dipetakan dari project yang sukses?
